Do pod schools add both grades in when calculating your gpa? I failed orgo but then retook it so would they just count the 2nd grade?

Do they take the average of the 2 grades or just simply add both to the final grade? And if you have say a 3.3 in a chem class, how is that weighted? I read what it said on the website but I still wasn't too sure. Also, does it favor us when the aacpmas changes our grades to theirs?

There should be information about this in your application process. I don't have access to the site, but search around; it's there.

Taking the average of the two grades is the same as adding both to the final.

When they change some of the grades to theirs, like I seen that a 2.7 is a B- to them, does that benefit us or hurt us?

the grading is off for your institution then because a 76 or a 77 is a C+ which is 2.30. If it shows up on your transcript as a b- then they will credit you with a 2.7. If you have a c+ then it will be credited at 2.3.

In the class I received a 76 percent or something like that but on my transcript it says 2.7, would they make the grade higher I don't understand, how would they favor that in the final gpa

They would probably count it as a 2.7. Why would they make the grade higher?

Edit: Does your school not give out letter grades but instead just assigns a GPA value for each class?

This is precisely why I can't stand GPA being used so heavily.

At my undergrad, a 69.5-79.4 is a C. No minuses, no pluses.
