I was wondering if any one knows 29 palms in CA. I just want to know where is the best place to live close to the base.

Palm Springs is very far away from Twentynine Palms. My sister was stationed there for 2 years, and got real lucky finding a good place in town on AHRN. Good luck though - there isn't much there.

The best place to live that is closest to the base IS Palm Springs. Close in this case is ~60 min. It's a wasteland out there.

It is definitely the best place to live closest to 29 palms, I can't argue with that. It's probably the best place to live closest to me too, and I'm in Florida.

Try that place called Smoke Tree Villas. They are nice and they do month to month too!
