Default Is this class considered under "English"?

I'm filling out the coursework in the application.
and I find confusing if my class is to be added as English class.
I did look at the little table regarding course subject list, but it doesn't answer my question.

So, I took a class from American Ethnic Studies department,,,
the class name appears as AES 212 W-COMP AM ETHNIC LIT in the transcript
Should I have this as a "English "class?
I am confused because although it's ethnic studies, the course title has "W-Comp ...Lit" in it and i got a writing credit from this class.
Please help.
Thanks

I assume it would, but it'd be best to call and ask the schools you are applying.

I would classify that as English. For me I labeled most writing intensive class as English. Hope that helps.
