Default Do you get any break between Step1 and year3?

I am not doing anything between ms1 and ms2. And I figured I would start studying. But I just tried to study this morning. And I had absolutely 0 motivation. I just thought about how I can start studying today or in August or whenever and there is no end in sight. I know if I fail an exam it's bad. But it's not like doing well on a multiple choice exam suddenly makes me successful. So do you think it's realistic to use loan money to go on a 2wk vacation abroad, right after step1? I mean like a $5-10k vacation? Also what I learned from ms1 is that apparently I am "ery book smart"but not good with patients and will be struggling in year 3. But I do not feel that I am "book smart" and I do need some motivation to read all those books..I would find it much easier to just watch tv and half a couple of drinks each day for the rest of the summer.

Just try to take Step 1 a week or so early and go on the vacay. You won't regret it.

Did it then seem probable, as he had once overheard Dunbar ask, that the answers to riddles of creation would be supplied by people too ignorant to understand the mechanics of rainfall? Had Almighty God, in all His infinite wisdom, really been afraid that men six thousand years ago would succeed in building a tower to heaven?

Most people take mini vacas post-boards and pre-MS3, going on awesome vacations like you suggested or just sitting around doing nothing and relaxing. Others have to delay their test untill right before MS3. Whatever works for you. Hopefully your school sets aside a decent amount of dedicated boards study time so you can factor in a couple weeks for a break.

We had about 5 weeks off. I took my test the end of week three then went to Disney.

For step 2, I only took a month.. And I'll be testing CS in Houston after ck, so I'm staying an extra day or two to play and shop.

Dear Father,
You have placed me in this world as a doctor with a plan for my life. I have seen the possibilities. I now hold [my life] up to you. Take it and begin the change in me. Give me the insight and determination to follow through and become the Christian doctor you have created me to be - by your power, with your wisdom, and for your glory. Amen

Take a week or two for a break for sure. But I don't know where you are planning on going that is going to cost 10,000 dollars. I'd go for a cheaper vacation than that since it seems you really just want some time to relax.

I took 2 weeks off, then studied for 6 weeks. It was worth it to recharge before hitting the books again.
