Default EK 101 and Grammar

Is it me, or do many of the questions that don't have to do with the main idea, boil down to grammar in EK, even those that claim to be inference questions? If you can isolate the sentence in question and see what's modifying what, it gets fairly intuitive.

Is the actual MCAT like this?

Yes, I found EK to be more like my actual MCAT than AAMCS or TPRH.

as in diagramming sentences ... keeping subjects, predicates straight. Knowing what an adjective is modifying after identifying the important sentence.
