Default cut off scores for clinical psych phd programs

What are the GRE cut off scores for highly ranked clinical psych phd program?
What are the cut of scores for mid ranked programs?
I have heard 1200 and 1250, but are they higher for some programs? I have a 1290 on my GRE (570 verbal and 720 quant) and I would like to get into a highly ranked program. I am trying to figure out if I should retake the GRE.
Thanks!

If I were you, I wouldn't retake it unless I can get the equivalent of 1450+. A few extra points probably isn't going to impress anybody. Just focus on your letters and personal statement.

I've heard of some programs that use 1100, and a lot of other programs that use 1200 or 1250...but I don't think there's any one correct answer that someone could give you. Even if the program lists 1200 on their website, they could choose to use a higher cutoff score depending on the quality of their applications during that year...and they don't have to tell you that they're doing that

From what I've seen on these forums, if you have above a 1250 you're considered in the "safe zone"...but if you're applying to R1 schools, then they probably expect a higher score. It all depends where you're applying. I think you would be ok with most mid-tier schools, so if you're applying to those I wouldn't bother re-taking the GRE. If you're applying to higher ranked programs, I don't know if there's a right or wrong answer.

Our cutoff is slightly higher. Occasionally POIs dip into the "didn't make the cutoff" pile, though.

I had a 1250 and applied almost exclusively to top-tier research programs. I was told by several that this was what cost me an interview (though did end up getting into one!).

I think a lot of programs, including my current one, use "soft cutoffs". In other words, your app still gets looked at but you need to be sufficiently impressive to overcome getting screened out initially. If you are aiming high and think you can boost it up - I'd go for it. If you are happy with a mid-tier program, probably not worth it. It depends what your other credentials are like though.

Default Slightly off topic...

Does anyone happen to know the range of cut offs for the new GRE or the comparable score to 1250? I've heard 80th percentile, but I wasn't sure if there was a little bit of leeway for the new scores compared to the old.

I'm looking at mostly doctoral counseling psych programs. Any info is appreciated!
