Based on past results, some get it around 9AM, most get it before Noon. However, this is based on past data and I assume they were for a normal release, not a huge one where servers can get backed up.

How is everyone passing the time until Wednesday? I've fortunately (or unfortunately) got some observed interviews and presentations to worry about for Mon-Tues, and a feedback session for Wednesday morning. I'm trading one set of worries for another

i have first day of clerkships wednesday along with a core conference in the afternoon. Going to use all my willpower (and airplane mode on my phone) to keep from checking until the day is over. Don't wanna get bad news and then be a wreck all day

Seeing patients all day every day. But I can assure you that I'll be staring straight through them as I take their social history.

I am about to explode! I am so nervous about getting my Step 1 score! I hope I pass it! I am not worried about getting an extremely high score. I just want to pass. Just hope they curve the exam from May 17th! I have been waiting for a long time and I just hope it is worth it. I have to pray hard!!! Good luck everyone!

I"m really nervous as well. I'm in my IM rotation, and I'm on overnight call Tuesday. So I'll get off at noon (or before, depending on how many admissions we have) Wednesday, and I don't intend to check my score until I'm home.

My head is also about ready to explode. I'm sitting here trying to prepare a ppt presentation and cant think of anything but wednesday. The funny thing is we will probably just get on with m3 ownage within minutes of seeing our scores.

For me I think it will be painful, we have two days of m3 orientation and then we start our first on Wednesday. So nervous for first day of actually doing stuff and scores coming in...eek.

Started outpatient IM rotation last week, and between that and my sick son, I haven't really thought much of the 11th. I think my wife is more stressed about my scores coming out that I am... Nothing I can do about it now anyways. I remember freaking out waiting for my MCAT score though; soooo glad I'm not feeling that kind of anxiety again.

Dont worry dude. First day provides alot of downtime for casually checking your phone often.

I think everyone here will have favorable results. The same neuroticness that brung us to sdn will no doubt have led us to study adequately for our target scores.

They email us in the morning and will tell us when it will be available. My roommate got his at 1130 am (the score). The email was at 1045 am. Luckily I'm on vacation for a week so I will be sleeping in hard that day so i wake up to a score

Rotations start tomorrow, so I'll be busy in trying not to be useless during the first few days.
Haven't decided if I want to open the email early morning on a caffeine buzz or later in the day with some other beverage of choice.

I just have absolutely no clue what I might have gotten (I wouldn't be surprised with anything within a 40 point range--seriously), and I have the fear that I'm going to look and it will be a lot lower than my goal score. Rationally I don't even think it matters much for me, but I'm still freaked about it and wondering what my reaction will be.

Pretty ridiculous, really.

I'm in a similar boat, I wouldn't be surprised if I borderline passed or if I get 240. I just have no idea how I did.

Probably better to open it after I'm done for the day in case I need to mitigate negative feelings.

I think I'm gonna give myself an ulcer. I'm already having stress dreams about getting my score and friends failing and my score is out of 400 instead of normal. And i can't figure out how to convert it to normal to tell if i passed or not. Seriously my brain is out to get me right now

I wonder how many people find religion through this whole process

IIRC, we thought we could tell if we'd passed or not by trying to register for Step 2 CK; if we'd passed, it would let us go through the registration process, but if we'd failed, it would say you have to pass step 1 first. Maybe someone who is yet to take the test could try to log in to the NBME site and try to sign up for CK.

In full disclosure, this was back in the stone ages four years ago, so I'm sure everything's different now

hate to burst your bubble, but the option to register for step 2ck has always been open (in fact, you can even take it BEFORE step 1 if you want. Why someone would want to do that is beyond me)

I opened my permit link and it says I have sat the exam. I took it on June 27,2012. I think permit is gone soon after you take the exam. I should get my score on July 18 (3 weeks after the exam).

I'm on my surgery rotation (trauma and emergency) and they keep us pretty busy from 5-5 so I'll luckily only have a few hours in the evening to worry about it for the next 2 days. Ugh. I want the score already! It's driving me crazy not knowing.

Hmm, maybe it was trying to register for step 3 after taking CK. Sorry for the mis-info.

I'm not sure about the print permit link, but it might be on the check exam status page? (I don't have one anywhere that I can find)

My score release date box is empty too; I think it will only update on/after the big day

It's in two places,

First when you log in to the main page it would be the first item in the top left column.

Then you can also click "exam status" and under permit date the date given would be in blue as a link (if I remember right).

If you click it after your test has been taken, then it says so but if your score is about to be released, there will be no link at all.

the link itself disappears when you're about to get your score. if the link is there to click on and see that you sat for the exam, you're not getting your score this week

Wednesday will be my first real day as a 3rd year after today and tomorrow of orientation- I think I may throw up from the double-whammy of a board score release and the 1st day of my surgical rotation... Here's to hoping for a strong stomach and an even stronger will to wait until I get home to check my score (don't want to cry on 1st day haha).

theory but from what I've heard most of my friends (who are also expecting scores this week) have seen the link disappear entirely over the past week. While after the test, the link was there but when you clicked it, it said you'd already taken the test.
This is consistant with what some other people were saying over in the Step 1 experiences thread

Damn, that sucks. My link is still there. Though, I took the test June 27th, so maybe it was a little overly optimistic for me to hope I'd get them on July 11th too.

I took mine on June 23rd and I still the permit link as well. I would have though that 06/23 would constitute as "late June" so I'm a bit confused as to what to expect on July 11th. Any thoughts?

We'll personally I consider that date to be late June. I took mine 6/22 and my "permit link" is gone as well. But I'm not sure how dependable all this talk about about it missing is. However, i do know that sometimes people do get their scores before 3 weeks( like 2.5). So its still a possibility.
