Talking about Friday the 13th, I just realized that I submitted my application on June 13 lol. I was also ranked 13th in my class in HS. Let's hope that 13 will be my lucky number since it's my second time applying. lol

I don't know what I'm considered. My initial application went out in the first batch. 2 letters went out in the 2nd batch and 1 letter went out in the third batch. So I assume I would be considered 3rd batch?

Filling out the ASDOH secondary now! We all know how ASDOH loves its volunteer/comm service... one of the questions asks us to list all this info down (even though it's on AADSAS). Does anyone think they will call the volunteer/work people? Some I haven't worked w/ in over a year and if so, I would want to call them to remind them of me! (Maybe even stop by so they can put a face to the name). Thoughts? (I'm going to call them again, the lady I spoke with said the admissions person was out to lunch so I just stopped by here in the meantime).

Also, I've heard back from MWU (both), ASDOH, Nova, UoP, Roseman, Louisville, Western. None of them have cashed my check (unless it was electronic, which was done immediately). Working on MWU and ASDOH supps right now. Sent in Nova, Western, and Louisville's supp apps already. But I'm not taking my DAT until August so... :X

Oh and I got this email from NYU: "Our Admissions officers are currently compiling your application materials and will be in contact with you again, via email, once NYUCD has received your application fee and all of your application materials from AADSAS. " I def sent the fee in, but they haven't cashed it yet, so just waiting for that I suppose (oh yes, and my DAT score).

Yes, WesternU in Cali. I got the confirmation that they received my secondary app:

"I am pleased to inform you that we have received your secondary application for the Doctor of Dental Medicine program!" ->> Lol no joke there was an "!" in the email. I spoke on the phone to several of their admissions staff, probably the nicest around. Cali thing?

Nothing yet on primary app.

Will post as soon as I hear something. I'm a 3rd-batcher (aka lucky Friday the 13th).

I'm no expert but i would say no, it's not safe to assume that at this point in the game. It's so early yet that I don't see it as feasible to say that you're out. When did you get received at Case?

To get a better idea, perhaps you could check out either or both of the Case-specific threads (one in pre-dental and the other under school specific discussions). Let us know what you find out!

Has anyone else heard back from UCLA? I got a secondary app this afternoon 4:30 est, wondering if they pre-screen? Are they starting earlier this year than previous years? And lastly, does it bode well to get a secondary invite this early? I haven't even taken my DATs yet and I know they like high DAT scores. Any ideas?

Don't know if it will be considered a "complete" app until all materials are received, including LORs...

Are there more letters coming?

One teacher said they would have a letter for me by Oct 31st (God-willing), but that seems a bit too late. I am going through my transcript and emailing every science professor I've had for a letter. So far, unsuccessful... But someone is bound to say yes!!

That's a good idea, just email until someone says yes- hopefully they can write a decent letter. Oct 31st is WAY too late! (IMO) I would try to get something asap. Good luck
