Most of my programs have retrieved the application. Just 2-3 havent. No news yet from any though!

Same with me. Applied to 24 programs. All except 2-3 have retrieved. No interview offers yet.

It is my belief that the title does not contain enough asterisks to make it the "official" thread. Industry standard is at least 26.

I disagree. Industry standard is a safe, conservative 5 to 6 asterisks, as highlighted in the 2011-2012 and 2010-2011 threads.

Any more than 6 asterisks is too risky these days, as it may unintentionally be interpreted as arrogant or boastful.

As you know, I have heavily researched the topic, and I've become somewhat of an asterisk mentor.

One does not simply start an official thread without the appropriate training and knowledge of official thread etiquette! Without rules, there would be total anarchy! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together...mass hysteria!

WS, as you well know, the most fun is soon to come. Once the precious list takes form, any divergence from the standard format is met with swift and appropriate punishment.

Rejected by Swedish in Seattle. Pretty darn bummed about it. Especially it being this quick. I can tell you that they are interviewing 88 candidates for their 3 categorical spots though.

Me too

I think its because I'm from all the way out in NY and they don't think that I'm actually interested in the program(which I am). I know another of the SubI's at the program I'm at right now got an interview at KU-Wichita, but since it wasn't me and I don't have the dates I won't add it to the list.

Makes me feel better I'm not the only one today. They are pretty selective only having 3 spots. Very desirable area to live as well.

The only other place I've heard of that has sent interview invites is U of Nebraska. No idea about dates though.

What's the story on this Rowan/Cooper University? I've never heard of it although a Google search indicates that it's located in Camden.

The UMDNJ programs got split up. Newark stayed as UMDNJ, New Brunswick is now Rutgers, and the UMDNJ-Camden program is now under Rowan University. I also believe the osteopathic program in Stratford is still under UMDNJ.

I could be mistaken, but I think UMDNJ Osteopathic is going to be under Rowan by next year.

There is a lag time. I can't tell you how long it can be, but I got an invite to one of the places below several days after it was posted on here
