A lot of people post their CVs online. I think you might come out best by checking out the CVs of professors and grad students at different universities. So, I would suggest doing that instead of buying a book. Also, ask your professors can give you a copy of their CVs that you can use as a template.

If the OP's uni is like mine he/she can look these up on the uni's website. Try just searching professors names in the search bar.

There are some universities that also post CVs for their grad students, so you may want to take a gander at some of those to see what other folks do.
