I started taking informal post-bacc classes fall 2010 and have finished all pre-reqs, as well as genetics and cell bio with a solid gpa (3.7x). I'm enrolled in biochem (300 level) and human phys (400 level) this semester. I haven't yet taken the DAT, and I want to apply first batch June 2013. Do you guys think I need to keep taking more upper level bios like anatomy and micro? Or am I alright to stop, up my hours at work and make some cash to pay off looming loans, volunteer/shadow a bit more and study for the DATs this coming spring? Thanks for any of your advice- Last edited by carlfusco; 09-20-2012 at 08:21 AM. |

Doing great on post bacc sci courses. Id personally take the micro and anatomy courses because then you'd have 100% of all the dental school's bio pre reqs. Because the midwesterns require both micro and anatomy w corresponding labs. After that you should be set to start working on your dental experience and shadowinf opportunities. If anything im sure you can squeeze in some shadowing time during those bio courses. Great job and good luck in june!!!!
![]() Oh and nail the DAT in May before apps open up at the beginning of June! So u can have everything submitted by the beginning of June Sent from my SGH-T999 using SDN Mobile

I'm applying for a 1 yr MS program at WesternU on Oct 15th. So hopefully, I can start it next fall if I do not get into DS by that time.
