The powerprep tests are the most accurate because they use the actual GRE scoring algorithm.

My practice tests were not very accurate. I took multiple Kaplan and powerprep tests and my scores were all over the place (for the old GRE). I couldn't get my math score above the mid 600s on the practice tests but I scored in the upper 700s on the real thing. I still remember the feeling of absolute shock when the scores popped up on the screen. I actually asked the proctor if they were real.
My last math question was finding the area of a square so naturally I freaked out and thought I failed the whole thing. I think practice tests are great but I have no idea how to assess their accuracy. |
