Default DAT breakdown, one bad score! oooofff

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
PAT: 19
QR: 16
RC: 22
TS: 21
AA: 20

What do you guys think? Will my QR score screw me over or will it not matter compared to my other scores? My DAT tutor told me not to worry, that most schools don't give the QR score much consideration.

Also, much thanks to everyone on this forum. Based off of suggestions from the forum, I used the DAT Destroyer, Chad's videos, Cliffs AP, and Crack DAT PAT to study.

It won't matter. It's only lowering your AA but you still got 20! Congrats.

You're fine! I had the same QR score and the same RC score and I was accepted. I remember thinking the same thing. I did score a 25 on OC which helped. Couldn't believe how easy OC was. Anyway my AA was a 20. Good luck and try not to worry about it, I'm sure your very competitive in other areas as well.

Oh and...CONGRATULATIONS!! That is a very good score and something to be proud of. Good Job!!

Keep moving forward!

0123, if you don't mind me asking.. which school(s) were you accepted into and what was your TS score?

Additionally, my oGPA is 3.69 and my sGPA is 3.52. My biggest weakness is a lack of extracurricular activity related to dentistry, which I plan on making up for this semester. I plan on getting involved with some community dental clinics, do you guys think I should get certified as a dental assistant or can I get enough experience at these clinics without a certification?

I only interviewed and was accepted at my in-state public school, UNMC. I applied at a few others in the Midwest but haven't heard anything from them, oh well! I have stayed in close contact for the last few years with UNMC and just love the school and staff. My TS was a 19. My oGPA was a 3.81 and sGPA was a 3.71.

Keep working your plan you'll do great!

Like someone above already said, you should call the schools you're applying to to make sure your QR isn't below the cut off.

Other then that I think you're fine. a 20AA is good.

Of all the scores, you're definitely best off getting a 16 on QR. It's generally ranked lowest on schools rankings of importance for DAT subsections. You did well in the sciences and your AA is above average, so you'll be good.
