I'm switching from the business school to the college of letters and sciences, which means one of the classes I'm currently enrolled in doesn't count towards my major at all.

I want to drop it because it's a lot of busy work, but will having a DR on my transcript be looked at unfavorably by graduate schools? I don't want to do anything to jeopardize my chances of getting in. I've never dropped a class before.

Thanks!

I have a few "W"'s (Withdraw) on my undergrad transcripts. It didn't affect my ability to receive interviews. If the class has no potential benefit, then I would personally drop it.

yea. one or two drops won't have much impact, if any from my experience. Schools tend to look at the overall gpa, and not care about the nitty gritty.

If they ever ask about, you will have a valid excuse. You should be fine.
