OK, so based on this information posted today, interviews are over.
I'm sure everyone knows this already, but just in case, I'll post it again:
ECU has room for 78 students. They do not over-accept students. That means that the maximum number of acceptances out at any time is 78. Of the 76 offers they have made, we have no idea how many have been or will be refused. We can all go back through this thread, and see that there are some people who have been accepted that are clearly going elsewhere (vickpick comes to mind - headed to UNC).
Last year, everyone still in the running received letters letting them know that they were on the alternate list the second weekend in March. It looks a little like the acceptance numbers are higher this year, but that could mean that more people have already refused their acceptances - I don't know.
From last year's thread, there were 13 people who were on the alternate list, and I think 7 of them got accepted after they received their alternate list letters - pretty good odds. As one who was not accepted off the list, however, it makes for an excruciating summer.
I hope that this year, the SDN posters make up the group of people who finally get their acceptance letters. Good luck, everyone.
