I love checking this thread to see where you guys and gals are killing it at next - quick question, could you estimate about how long it took to go from complete to interview invite? Finally got my AMCAS verified and pre-wrote secondaries so they are on the way within the next few days.

I think it's going to very based upon when you were complete...espadaleader was the first one complete out of us (i think) so he probably got his quicker than me who wasn't complete until end of july/early august (just finished my last secondaries a day or two ago)

Of the three interviews I've gotten it's been about a two week period between complete and interview invite...could be longer for my later applications (anticipating between 3 and 4)

I was verified the day before AMCAS submitted data to all the schools in June, just so you have an idea. I didn't pre-write all my secondaries, and I'm struggling to finish my last 5. :oops:

As far as the wait time from being complete to receiving an interview invitation, my time would range from 1 day to a couple weeks. I'm not entirely sure, but I think once schools start receiving more applications, the wait time might increase. :shrug:

Yeah, for example I added UVA the first week of Aug and had a interview a few days later. Some schools are a little slower.

On an aside though whats up with student hosts and medical schools? Some schools are rolling out the carpet some just dont care.

I had a conflict with the date of my U of VT interview and they were really nice about moving it to another date. Is that the type of conflict you mean?

Lol, that's a good one. I'm on the floor laughing. JediOchoa did you get a PORTAL invite from Sinai too? When are you coming? They give out dates for us so we probably got the same one.
 
I have a 3.67 and a 33 MCAT. However, its really about getting your app in on time, having strong references, and a strong app.

+1 ...I wish I would have been a week earlier than I was but I submitted on 6/17 and it's working out pretty good for me so far.

Yea I got that email about PORTAL. Not sure if I'm applying yet but I do have some background in clinical research and that full tuition scholarship sounds good. I have Cornell on the 10th and Sinai on the 12th. You?
