Damn, got an interview from emory, scheduled within 4 minutes from my phone and all spots were already taken. Wow!
Same here. Kind of ridiculous.

When is the appropriate time to start reaching out to programs about getting an interview (I realize we are not close to there yet but just trying to plan ahead and this is a question a lot of my peers have had that I have not been able to find a good answer to)? Thanks!
Yikes, so if we haven't gotten an interview from Emory yet, we're out of luck, huh? That kind of sucks; I was really hoping to interview there.
This is interesting; I got an invite; was NOT able to schedule so quickly; more like ~40 minutes after the invite, and there were some open dates.......

Did anyone else get a rejection from Northwestern followed by an email rescinding their rejection?

Did anyone else not get the second email...
Second one just states we weren't rejected. Came about 30 mins after the first.I didn't either. Also was the second email an invite or just saying your not rejected? haha. Here's to holding out hope I'm not really rejected, but still doubtful.

Here you go: "We apologize if you received an email within the last hour informing you that
we would not be able to offer you an interview. Your application is still
under review for an interview, and we will be in touch shortly with a final
decision. We know this is an exciting but stressful time to plan the next
step of your career. We are encouraged by your enthusiasm to interview at our
program and are impressed by your record. Again, we are sorry for the errant
communication. We are continuing to review applications and will be in touch.
We wish you all the best in the interview process in the mean while. "
And don't worry. Maybe your second one is still coming
Hey guys,
When should we stop expecting interview invites? I have received 7 invitation and 1 rejection out of the 50+ programs that I've applied to. That said, is there a time by which if I don't hear from a program I can assume that they are not interested?
I'm trying to determine whether I should schedule an interview for every invite I receive or if I should wait for some of the other programs (including my top choices) that I haven't heard back from yet. I don't want to burn all my travel budget and fill up my free interview dates if the majority of programs haven't even reviewed my file.
Thanks for your inputs!
Anybody else getting repetitive emails from UChicago saying "We would like to confirm your interview date..." I've gotten 3 in the past 3 weeks, despite having called to confirm the confirmation email...
