I considered myself a fairly competitive applicant. I'm board certified with a few years into private practice, I had excellent ITE scores, and a good overall performance in residency. My usmle board scores were around average, and my med school performance left a lot to be desired. Still I considered myself a pretty decent applicant. I sent most of my stuff out mid March. Still no interviews. I applied to mostly mid tier with some upper tier programs and one or two lower tier. 23 total programs. I'm beginning to worry. Hopefully this post helps someone. Or someone can set my mind at ease. Applying and not hearing back just sucks. Good luck to you guys.
