@Ismet, Just a heads up, the link for the "University of Virginia" actually goes to Perelman. The Perelman link works as it should, though!

This is incredible thank you so much

Can we bank on last years prompt for most schools being the same this year?

I want to get a head start and writing some of them. If they change every year, that would be a wasted effort :)

Thanks

So... kinda stupid question. Should we try to relate everything back to medicine as much as possible? For example, "Did you work for compensation during college during the year or the summer?" or " Please describe a challenge you faced and how you addressed it." I'm not sure if they want me to just answer the question concisely, or if it is implied that I should tie it all back to my aptitude for med school.

I'm not going to draw lines back to med for them...as far as I am concerned, this is my opportunity to show off who I am. I trust in their ability to see the value of various traits in someone intending to practice medicine. They're probably better able to make those connections than I am, anyway, and without eating up characters!

Does anyone know when we can expect to start receiving secondaries? I thought I had read somewhere that verified applications weren't going to be sent to medical schools until July 1st, but I can't remember where I saw that or if there is any truth to this. Any ideas?

Whoops just saw this now. Thanks! Will edit.

Most prompts do not change.

Right, schools will not see who applied to them until July 1 at the earliest, so there's no way you can get secondaries before that date.

Yesterday, I noticed you had the prompts for UNT-TCOM's secondary and now I can't find it. Was it deleted for a reason or....?
This is so extremely helpful btw!! Thanks so much for putting in so much time. :)

Sorry this reply is so late, I was/am on a bit of a hiatus. I think there's a Osteopathic School thread over in pre-osteo. This one is just allopathic schools.

So will the schools be contacting us via email when they want us to submit secondaries? And am I suppose to check the status of my application at each schools site or will AMCAS notify me?

It can depend on the school. Some email with information regarding how to access their respective portals (if they use or have one). However, there are some that have a separate website. If you just research the school(s), they should say on their website :)

Secondary for MCW is, 'why MCW?' in 1000 spaces or less.
Plus a thorough background disclosure in which they ask about ANY offence committed other than a speeding violation.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but will a school let you know if they have decided not to extend a secondary application to you?

Again, it may depend on the school. Some schools prescreen applicants for secondaries, but there are some schools that just send secondaries to everyone who submitted a primary app to them. I am not entirely sure if they would tell you if they decided not to send you one, but I wouldn't think so. If you haven't gotten a secondary from a school that sends secondaries to everyone, I would call.

Why are there no secondaries listed for Sidney Kimmel Medical College - Thomas Jefferson University?

There are...it's listed under 'Jefferson', which is what the med school was known as until very recently. It's in the list up there!
