I just completed my sophomore year of college. I was wondering when students usually take the MCAT and when to start studying for it.

Seems like due to the new format, there isn't too much information about study plans and such except the old ones.

Edit: I forgot to mention I haven't taken Biochemistry yet. I will be taking Biochem 1 in Fall and Biochem 2 in Spring. I've completed Chem, Physics, Bio, and Organic Chem. I've also taken Sociology. Psychology I took in High School but got AP credit for it.

It depends on when you want to apply. If you don't want to take a gap year, then take it sometime before summer 2016. If you take it before summer 2017, you'll have one gap year. And so on. You'd be fine taking it once you've finished biochem 1.

Check out my MCAT 2015 FAQ. It should answer a lot of your questions.
