wow only 7 graduates this year?
9 graduates but only 7 entered the Match. More recent classes are much larger.
MD/PhD graduates who failed to match (~5-10% nationally)
What I posted about programs leaving graduates off their match lists, not reporting post-docs, and reporting prelim only matches as categorical, was communicated to me personally by an author of that study.

Unusual, but not rare.
FWIW, our program has an unmatched rate of 1.4% over the past 10 years. There was no surprise at the non-matches (less-competitive individuals going after competitive specialties), and they matched in a different specialty the following year. In addition, 2.7% have declined to go through the match, and entered employment directly. All in this group made the decision at least 6 months prior to the match, having realized that they did not want to practice medicine. We have had no prelim-only matches in the past decade. We report all the postgraduate positions on our website, but do not differentiate between a non-matched individual and an individual who decided s/he did not want to do a residency. This is an n of 1, but I assume programs similar to ours would have substantially similar experiences.Would you estimate maybe... 5-10% ?
