Somehow I'm not sure the settings for the Facebook group are set for anyone with just a Facebook account to request joining, or you have to have a Case email. If you wish to be invited in, send me an email message.

Just got the email!! It's 100% real now! Thanks Dr. Chuck! so exciting :)

Yesterday I got an email about my application being pre-screened and will be looked at again if I update AADSAS with my grades, does this mean my summer/fall grades will determine if I am going to be offered an interview or not?

I'm curious to know if anyone who missed the initial email wave got an e-mail about scholarships as well. Is anyone able to confirm?

Congratulation to everyone who received an offer, that's no small accomplishment. To any hopefuls, hang in there. It isn't over until the class is filled!

still waiting for interview...hasnt heard sth. back from CWRU

Dumb question: If we are finished academically (graduated) do we do anything for the AADSAS update like say we haven't taken any extra courses or do we simply not say anything. Rather be safe than sorry by asking.

Weblink. Yes, it's just for people taking courses currently.

Dear Dr Chuck,
For those of us who received a potential post December interview group email, when do we anticipate to hear back (i.e. when is the next round of interview invite send out) ?
Thank you for your help!

I did mention in that email that people have until the end of the week. In all of our interview scheduling, we try to give people about a month's notice to plan and prepare, so depending on how many people are still interested, the academic updates for fall grades and late DAT scores (including Canadian reports), and the weather forecast for the winter (probably the most important factor :) ), the only answer I can give you is "soon".

Dr. Chuck, I don't think I had my final scores from the summer semester in the application, but do I need to do the academic update from that? I graduated in August, so I haven't had any additional coursework since.

Thanks

Still waiting for any email, hopefully interview...;)

For those of us who received the "potential post december interview" email, does it mean we are in the competitive pool of applicants who could potentially receive an interview invite? Or does the admission office send the email to all applicants who are not rejected or waitlisted? Thank you for any input :)

Yes to both. We are eliminating applicants in our database who have already been accepted to other schools who wish to remove themselves from consideration so we don't waste efforts appealing to those who are not interested in attending our program. If you have not received an email from us, it does not mean you have been rejected yet.

I noticed that my portal status changed to "Invited for Interview" recently. However, I have not received an email from the school regarding this. Has anybody else's changed? Was this maybe a mistake?

This is where you email the office of admissions and check. We have been sending out invitations and we want to be sure yours isn't trapped in junk mail, or if it is truly a mistake.

I just sent an email to the admissions office. Thank you!

Dear Dr. Chuck,

I just want to make sure that Anatomy isn't required prior to matriculation. It's listed as "recommended" on the ADEA official guide. The course that I took two years ago was Physiology but now the school somehow decided to change it to Physiology & Anatomy, but that isn't reflected on my course list on AADSAS. Thank you!

Recommended is still recommended. We encourage you taking and passing the class with flying colors, but it's not required.

Anyone receive any post dec interview email this week?

Our University will be closed next week on December 25 and 26, and the following week on January 1 and 2. Minimal staff will be working in the office otherwise. We highly recommend any email correspondence during this holiday season.

Rejections without interview were sent out by email with an AADSAS portal status update. We had a lot of fantastic applicants, but it is impossible to give everyone an interview opportunity.

For those who wanted to know the collective statistics of the individuals who received rejections, I give you midranges for GPA and DAT. Note that our review process does not employ cutoffs or formulas for ranking applications for consideration, but we additionally consider applications holistically based on other qualities revealed in the application that match our vision for the incoming class.

Overall GPA midrange: 3.13 to 3.51; science 2.97 to 3.41.
DAT midrange AA 18 to 21, PAT 18 to 21.

So if I did not just receive a rejection without interview e-mail/update, nor a "potential post december interview" e-mail earlier, does that mean my application is somewhere in limbo?

I think I was rejected without interview because I didn't respond to the Dec 1 email asking about interest.

Holy crap!! I was just telling my fiancee earlier today what Dr. Chuck said this morning, and how I didn't receive a rejection email and that I still had a chance. Well I'm just on a much needed break because we're swamped in the blood bank at work and checked my email and I have been invited for an interview!!!! My day just got 1000 times better!! SO PUMPED!!!

THANK YOU DR. CHUCK!

Dr. Chuck,

I submitted my AADSAS Academic Update two weeks ago, but my GPA is still unverified as of today. I'm a little bit concerned since interviews are being given out. Should I email the office of admissions my AADSAS profile with my unverified GPA anyways?

Congrats guys on the interview! The entire process is pretty laid back and it's in small groups so there's not a lot of pressure to try and stand out. Also, the schedule for the train is pretty on point (you can go from the airport to the school, but I don't recommend doing that the morning of your interview). And eat a good breakfast!

Thanks for the info! I've read so many good things about their program and am really looking forward to the interview day. I'm less than 4 hours away so I'll be driving. Any info on a good place to stay? I heard Delta House is good, and a good way to interact with some of the students.

Thank you so much for letting us know. It's good to know that the interview is laid back. I am excited and scared at the same time!! I have been looking for a place to stay as well and I read about the Delta house too. You can't really beat $50 per night (there is a link below if anyone else is interested). I am also considering Radisson downtown (breakfast is included!) and University hotel. I will be flying and won't have a car. And so I need to see if they offer a shuttle service to/from school. Happy planning! :) :
To any interviewees who are looking for a place to stay during their interview at CWRU, the dental fraternity (Delta Sigma Delta) is renting out a room for $50/night. It is 10 mins (walking) from the house to Case. There are 9 dental students living there (three 4th years, four 3rd years, one 2nd year, and one 1st year). It is a great opportunity to ask these dental students about Case dental school. If you're interested, please contact Jacob at [email protected].

Checkout the website @ http://casedelts.weebly.com/interviewer-room.html

Thanks and best of luck!

Delta house is a good choice! Its literally an 8 minute walk to the interview. I was escorted with a student who told me about the program and pretty much answered any last minute questions I had before I checked into the office. So, it definitely gives you a bit of an insider view, but dont worry, if you still have questions, theyll be more than happy to answer. Honestly, dont think of it as an interview, its a conversational styled orientation day. I talked to Dr Chuck after a quick tour and then he went "ok lets wrap up the interview and head back" and I remember thinking "wait what? This was the interview? I thought we were chatting!" Haha. Theres a second interview thats a bit more formal but you guys can do this!
