Did the 21% cut in Medicare reimbursements go through? Where they reveresed? Whats going on with them... and more importantly what does this mean for primary care medicine?

Yes, yes, see above, and who knows, in that order.
These cuts have been threatened/implemented/reversed/lather/rinse/repeat a number of times over the past several years. Not sure what it will take to end the cycle of stupidity but hopefully it will eventually happen.

What will it take? Political will, and currently the politicians are not brave enough to make these cuts. Wait until the economy tanks further, the debt and taxes continue rise, and austerity measures begin to be implentented. The cuts will go in just when docs will probably need the money the most and you will watch it the chaos that will ensue.
From what I know, the cuts are often scheduled though rarely put in place. I don't support the payment cuts and think Congress is on thin ice if they make them as an increase in Physicians not accepting Medicare(aid) hurts the public and will reflect poorly on Congress. Maintaining the payments is not cheap, but it is hard to justify the cuts in light of all the money Congress wastes.
This just goes to show why you don't want to get in bed with Big Daddy Government.
