cGPA: 3.55
sGPA: 3.3
MCAT--PS: 10 VR: 11 BS: 14 Comp: 35

I am about to graduate undergrad (BS in Cell & Molecular Biology, minor in Spanish) and want to apply to MD schools during this coming cycle. I know my sGPA, in particular, is quite low and I was wondering what people thought of my chances for in-state schools and other schools in IL, OH, and PA. (Specifically, I did not have great experiences with both Physics I&II and Calculus 2, but I have never received a grade lower than a B-).

In terms of where I would like to go, I would love to go to Wayne State (UM would be ideal, but I am sure I have slim-to-no chance of getting in with my stats)

Research: 3 years, 1 publication (8-10 hrs/wk during the school year and one summer)
Writing tutor: 2 years (3-4 hrs/wk during the school year)
Copy Editor for undergrad research journal: 1 year
(extra job)Office Assistant: 2.5 years (5 hrs/wk during school year)

My volunteering (hospital and non-hospital) and shadowing are fine--I will continue to volunteer during the next year as I apply and I am also hopefully going to be working as a clinical research assistant.

Please tell me your thoughts!
