June 21st 2012 MCAT 11PS 6VR 12BS
August 28th 2013 MCAT 12PS 8VR 11BS

Graduated with Distinction from top tier school in Canada. 3.63 GPA.

Applying to all schools in Florida.

Re-applicant from last year. Was placed on the waiting list for one school but never got in.

I am doing research for a year to get some clinical experience.

What are my chances?

Thanks for the help

M

Are you Canadian? If you're a FL resident, you should be OK for most of the FL schools, except Miami, maybe.

Thank you for your reply Goro.

No I am american, but I decided to go to a school in Canada for undergrad. I also applied to many private schools across the country.

Miami average for MD 3.7 and 32. MD/MPH is 3.5ish and 30.

Edit: what does your school list look like?

Hi Omppu27,

Thank you for your quick reply. I did apply for the UM MD/MPH program.

I applied to all schools in FL and:

-Rosalind Franklin University
-Rush
-Loyola
-NYMC
-Albany
-Hofstra
-Drexel
-Commonwealth
-Temple
-Jefferson
-Penn State
-Quinnipiac

Have the exactly the same MCAT. Interviewed in Albany, RFU, quinnipiac, stony brook (NY resident).

Your list above is decent.

Thank you for your message Lya! It's encouraging that you got some interviews!

Best of luck!

M

I would say your list looks good but adding some more schools can only help (if financially feasible). What are you looking for in a school? What kind of location? Curriculum? etc.
