Hello friends, long time lurker here, got my MCAT score a couple weeks ago. I was a little disappointed by my score, because I expected much better based of the practice exam. I'm hoping I have the numbers to apply next application cycle. What are my chances for DO school? or should I retake with the new MCAT
GPA: (Science GPA 3.45) (Cumulative GPA 3.705)
MCAT 28 (Verbal 8, Physical Sciences 10, Biology 10) I was expecting to break the 30s :(
Currently doing research with my college professor
100+ shadowing hours at a family physician MD
50+ hours shadowing at Urgent Care MD
40+ hours volunteering at various community clinics
Volunteer at local food bank for 4+ years
Been a member of a pre health society at my university for 3 years, but not very active because I have always worked ~32 hours a week, to pay my bills while in college.
Worked as a Certified Health Screener at local pharmacy for 2+ years.
Also been working as a Pharmacy Technician for 4+ years now.

I am a resident of Texas, and there is only one DO school in our state, so most of my apps will be as an OOS.

So the awesome people at SDN, what are my chances?
Thank you!

chances are great for almost all DO schools. Focus your efforts on TCOM, with 5-10 OOS DO schools as backup.
