if you aren't urm take these 2 off because they show high preference for urm.

Def consider DO schools! You just increase your chances of becoming a doctor by doing so.

If you are a URM applying with those stats apply to Ivy Leagues. Less than 100 black students per year have GPAs over 3.6 and MCAT over 30. You can get this information from the AAMC Table 25. It's important to have this perspective when you're applying.

Loma Linda if you don't mind saying goodbye to caffeine.

Oh and maybe UCR depending on if they are expanding the class.

If you are interested in primary care DO school is a good option...try western, Midwestern, and touro if you want to stay close to home.

You need to validate a strong commitment to those ethnic communities that remain underserved to be a good candidate for these schools (add Meharry). You don't have to be UIM.

If you happen to go to UCR I'd throw that in the mix too. Some other schools you could consider would be Loyola, Einstein, BU, Tufts, Hofstra, Quinnipiac (sp?), Wake forest, UCSD, and you could throw in UCSF for the off chance of getting a bite if you aren't too concerned about spending an extra hundred bucks.

Note: Tufts, BU, Drexel, Temple, and GWU get well over 10,000 applications a year so your chances there are probably lower than some other schools, but I think it's worth applying to since you never know! You might be one of those lucky ones.

Can you provide that link? Too lazy to search for it.

On the DO side you should be a lock at Touro-CA. NYCOM and PCOM get craploads of applicants but your stats are very competitive so tough call. Did you look into Western-COMP? AZCOM over in Phoenix?

You are very competitive at all DO schools.

MD:
Creighton university school of medicine
Wayne state - I think they have a strong IS preference but you never know
University of Oklahoma college of medicine - not OOS friendly?
Virginia commonwealth university school of Medicine
Rush
University of Utash school of medicine - not OOS friendly?
Rosalin Franklin university
Wright state university
The commonwealth medical college - wants physicians who will work in the area
George Washington university school of medicine and health science
Edward hebert school of medicine
Georgetown university school of medicine
University of Maryland school of medicine
Albany
New york medical college
Penn state university
Temple
Drexel
Jefferson
Vermont
Medical college of Wisconsin
Hofstra
LOYOLA
Quinnipiac
LOMA LINDA - need to be ok with lifestyle agreement
UCLA
UCD
UCI

DO:
PCOM
NYOM
Touro CA

Also consider UCR, Tulane, both Arizona campuses, OWUB, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, and maybe the SUNYs. If you're considering DO as well, why not Western?

University of Oklahoma is not OOS friendly at all, unless you have strong ties to the state (which you are asked to indicate on the secondary). I'd recommend replacing this with a private school/OOS friendly public instead. (That is, unless, you have strong ties to OK).
