I've been around SDN, but I wanted to post this under an anonymous account for privacy reasons.

cGPA 3.94, sGPA 3.95, MCAT 35 first try (12/9/14). Solid but not extensive research/clinical experience.

I plan to apply to Boston U, Columbia, Duke, Emory, GW, Mt Sinai, NYU, UPenn, Brown, Tufts, U Florida, UMass, U Miami, UNC, UVA, Vanderbilt, Cornell.

Is this too top-heavy? I'd love to apply to a few schools as possible, but that's obviously not how this works. Anyone have any suggestions for what I should add? Or if I need to add anymore?

Thanks everyone. Glad to have you all for this long road ahead.... :nailbiting:

Reaches:
Columbia
Duke
Mt Sinai
NYU
Penn
Vanderbilt
Cornell

Low Yield:
Boston U
GW
Brown
Tufts

Targets:
UVA
Emory
U Miami

Other:
U Florida How many out of state students do they take?
UMass If you're not a Mass resident, you're not eligible to apply
UNC Probably not worth it if you're not a NC resident

You need to either swap out some reaches for more targets/safeties or make your list bigger.

Concur 100% with the Dawg. Suggest adding Hofstra and all NYC schools.

Oh thank you so much! That's really helpful.
What about.... Hofstra, Mercer, Morehouse, New York Medical College, Wake Forest. Would those be good additions?

Multiple accounts are not allowed.

It's a bit top heavy (that VR of 9 isn't too hot for these school, but you should still apply if you have the $). I'd target more Northeast schools rather than schools like UVa and Emory, since schools south of Mason Dixon prefer applicants from that region.

Reach:
maybe add U Pitt?
Mayo? :>

Target:
UMass
BU
Tufts
Einstein
Stonybrook
Rochester
...

Safe:
Vermont(?)
NYMC
Hofstra
Jefferson Medical College
Georgetown
Rush in Chicago (primary care focus)
Wake Forest

Probably not Mercer for you (it's heavily biased toward Georgia residents). morehouse is an HBCU...
GW will pass your app, as your stats are too good for them lol
