6 months before being able to take COMLEX 3?

I was told you had to have at least 6 months of post-graduate training to be able to take the COMLEX 3 by my program director, however I cannot find any information about this online. He said it is an AOA thing.
Can anyone comment on this?

I think you can take it as soon as you graduate. Whether your program will help flip the bill, that's another story.
