Hi guys, I'm a medical student in 5th year, and I'll graduate in a year and a half. I really fancy paediatric neurology and I'm working hard to maximise my chances to become a paediatrician, but sadly there are only 2 residency spots available per year in my home country. So I'm preparing for the worst and thinking if I don't become one maybe I should go abroad to get a specialty. Maybe you could inform me about competition in paediatric neurology or general paediatrics in Ireland, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria.
Also how long does it take to complete specialty training? Do I need to take any tests to prove my knowledge? Any tips?
And of course if there are child neurologists your feelings about your specialty cons and drawbacks. P.S. I'm EU student.
Thank you very much for your help!
