Is Beat the Boards a highly utilized yet proportionately useful resource? I've heard mixed reviews and am not inclined to drop the G's, subsidized or otherwise.
..."I've heard from 2-3 people that it was so-so, what do you guys, especially if you've used it more recently, think about it? Did you get enough bang for you buck? Some people say it's good for vignettes mostly."
My experience was a while ago, I still had oral exams so I took it right before the oral test and found it somewhat useful. I didn't have a way to practice the 30 minute interview multiple times so that part was helpful. Not much else was that useful.
I used it, liked it. I felt it was worth the money to watch the presentations. The vignettes weren't helpful, but the powerpoint slides were.
I also used the Kenney and Speigel book. I was over prepared, which is a good thing.
