Adding extra resistor in series. What happens to I & V?

I know that adding an extra resistor in parallel causes the Req to decrease and I total to increase, and each resistor in series will have the same Current through them.

I was wondering what happens when you add an extra Resistor in series.
Im thinking that it raises the Req, and decreases the circuit's total Current I. And hemce decreases the I in each Resistor in series?
