Advice needed on Root canal..

Hi,
I am having constant mild pain on my molar teeth of left side since yesterday, hot or cold things dont hae much affect but during sleep i do get more pain . Checked with the dentist and he says i need a root canal. I have attached the xray of the teeth, the one needing root canal is the leftmost among the four, kindly suggest if i should go ahead with root canal.
