Air Force HPSP applying General surgery

Hi all!

I go to a DO program on the east coast. I want to do general surgery on any military base. I don't have a preference to which location. My main 2 are San Antonio, and Travis.

I think my GPA is around 3.0 (it's a PBL curriculum where 1 class is 45 units).
Step 1 (232/621)
I just took step 2 usmle and comlex.
Just took step 2 PE.
I'll get my scores in the next month.

I have two LORs from general surgeons guaranteed. One from a family practice doc who is on staff at my school.

I'm currently doing breast cancer research. Retrospective study.

I couldn't get a rotation at Travis for general surgery :/

I have two ADTs at San Antonio set up this year.
