Yes, he's very weird looking but one of the best dogs I've ever met! His herding instinct is amazing too. Love my mutt!

It'll come in handy. Over Thanksgiving break, my dog helped me catch my cat for her meds :p

See, your results are totally believable compared to what I got back for my guy.

What'd you get? We had a client who did it for S's and G's....they sent her back with a pretty long list that basically said "Your dog has a dash of x, a splash of y, and a sprinkling of z." The dog was supposed to be a purebred. I mean, it could very well be bad breeding, but the lab could also have been weird!

I've always wanted to do my dog, but she's textbook Australian Kelpie so it's not a huge mystery.

How long ago did you do yours? Probably as time goes on they get more accurate. Plus if there are fewer breeds involved in the mix.

I did it summer of 2014 so not too long ago but I guess long enough that it could be outdated a bit.

I posted a few pages back, but he got mainly Weimaraner, Keeshond and Sharpei mix with Newfie, Dobie, Wired haired doxie, sheltie and mexican hairless at smaller levels.

I could see keeshond, doxie, sheltie.

Those are the only three I possibly believe. The killer part is that the test said he should weigh between 50-80lbs and he's finally at a good weight of around 30lbs.
I'm desperately trying to see the weimaraner but...nope.

Genetics are weird though, so who knows.

The test was surprisingly accurate for Santiago. It said he was supposed to weigh in-between 27-41 pounds, he weighs 35.

One time I babysat a dog who was supposedly "half lab had chihuahua". She looked almost full chihuahua but bigger, and I said there was NO way there was any lab. Turns out, the owner watched her son's lab give birth to the puppies so she knew they were at least half lab. She was only 20-ish pounds. I was shocked. Lol

Yeah, I don't see it at all either. I got the results when I was in the Galapagos and literally just started laughing. I still go with corgi mix especially after finding a picture of these fluffy cardigans. We (and by this I mean, my dog on his account) follows a couple of fluffy corgis that look similarly, but my guy doesn't quite have the corgi face.

This is a new foster beast that I'm not allowed to name Potato. Roomie has started calling him Newton, so I'm desperate for some suggestions that don't remind me of horrible snack foods. He's 2yo and quite nervous but sweet.

I realized today that even though I've posted here before I never shared a picture of Finnick the Dog. And given my name... that seems rather silly. I mean sure, he's in my avatar but still. So uhm, here's Finnick... the dog.

Adorable pittie! Potato is a great name omg haha unfortunate that you can't name him that! Newton is cute too though :)

You'll have to excuse the mess. Byproduct of having a small room and not much storage space.

But I love this picture. Both intact males, older boy on the left has sired a few litters, and this is a common scene around the house. Love their temperaments.

Clearly this is the only possible way to drink water and she definitely isn't spoiled enough.

Someone PLEASE talk me out of getting a Corgi puppy...quickly...

my corgi is the best dog ever!! you should totally do it.

PS: It seems like a recurring theme that people come on this thread to have people talk them out of getting a pet... it never works :p

I meant to ask - how are you managing puppy while you're working? My schedule is actually pretty reasonable and my neighbors are a dog walker and a dog fosterer who are home all day if needed...ack.

She comes to work with me. Hangs out in a run with a kong while I'm seeing appointments. Plays in the office while I'm doing paperwork and phone stuff. She even gets to come on some farm calls with me. It's been working out well. She gets to pee every few hours and eat lunch. And we can usually manage a few breaks for playing fetch out in the pasture. My techs pittie is there most days so they run together. And if I'm swamped I can usually talk someone into giving her some attention haha.

Once she's a bit older and more reliable, she'll probably stay home with the other dogs for at least half days, even if I have to puppy proof the breezeway and kitchen as a starting area. Helps that I live less than 2 miles from the clinic :)

I feel bad I didn't get the pigs anything for Christmas, so I'm thinking of buying them this and making/buying a "kitchen" area to contain their mess.
