Anacardic Acid vs. Tooth Abscesses?

According to this wikipedia article and various others around the web, it is said that Anacardic Acid has been effectively used to fight tooth abscesses.

Does anyone know the method used to administer the anacardic acid so that it can combat the abscess?

There isn't that much primary literature within the pubmed database, perhaps you should investigate this your self in a clinical trial. However, I do know that there is some evidence that anacardic acid may be effective against breast cancer.
