Any pain medicine program accepts IM residents?

I am an IM resident. I am wondering whether any pain medicine fellowship accepts, IM residents?

Do a search on
Non Anes/pmr/neuro/psych getting into pain fellowships.
Plenty of threads on this topic
Especially last year

Bottom line:
Yes they do
It's rare, but possible
I'm EM , was fortunate enough to got into an acgme program
You need to apply early and wide.

You may have an issue with ABMS boards.
ABPMR used to let non pmr drs sit for the pain exam, but they won't allow it starting next year I believe.

Having an early well thought out interest is key. This is especially true if you are from the non anes, pmr specialties.
