Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone on here has had any success applying to MD schools with a 3.0 GPA. The "what are my chances" threads say it's close to impossible, but most of the people posting on there aren't from adcoms. I know of many students planning on applying this cycle with a 3.0-3.2, and I was just curious to see if there are any success stories.

Thanks!

Pretty slim for MD (or DO) even without a MCAT score! You probably wouldn't even make it through auto screen at most MD schools.

I think Howard University has a bunch of 3.0 students, but the school's mission is to specifically recruit and train minority physicians, so the standards are different.

Personally, without some outstanding ECs, plus killer mCAT, or a massive upward trend, or a very compelling story, I think your chances for MD are zero. Suggest a SMP or post-bac.
