Hello, I was hoping someone here might be able to have some insight. After taking sign in college and falling in love with it & deaf culture, I feel I would really love to pursue audiology. My one main concern is that I have an auditory processing disorder. Structurally my ears are fine & I lucked out with early intervention but I still can't differentiate between certain sounds when said in isolation. While this is normally not too much of a problem in my daily life it has occurred to me it might put me at a disadvantage when testing since I would not be able to tell if the child correctly said /b/ or /p/ for example. Could anyone please weigh in?
Thank you so much!
