I'm planning on applying for DO school the next application cycle. My question is when does the cycle begin? I hear different things; some say June and some say August. Does anyone know?

Apps open in May, and you can begin submitting them in June.

First Monday in May - app opens to be editted. Transcripts can be submitted.

June 1st - Apps can be submitted to be verified.

Mid-June to Early July - Secondaries start coming out.

Get your transcripts in ASAP, submit on June 1st and search for the secondary questions from past years to start on those essays. Get them in the day you receive them. Being on top of things this year is what I attribute to the difference between this cycle and last. I had an acceptance this year before my first secondary was in last year. Good luck.
