Guys, I just want some extra opinions about this. I will be applying this coming cycle but have an MCAT from 2014 (low 30s). I've already spoken to some med admissions offices and told me that they're expecting a majority of next year's apps to use the new Mcat. Would that put me at a disadvantage if I were to apply using an old score or should I try my best to retake? BTW I'll be a reapplicant from CA.

Nope, your old MCAT will be fine

Adcoms look at percentiles, not scores, so it's easy for them to compare your score to a score on the new test.

In truth the old MCAT is easier for adcoms to understand. I had someone talk about my equivalent of a 33 when my 516 was a 34 at least. My conversion eithout psych was at least 36 so I blame the new MCAT on the one waitlist that I would have fought for.
