I'm needing advice as to whether I should apply for med school this year or wait until next year.

I graduated college a year ago and took a (productive) year off. This summer I am retaking the MCAT and starting an MS program in the fall. Would it be wiser to wait until I complete the 1 year program to apply or apply when I get my MCAT score back this year? I'm beginning to worry that it's taking me too long to get to med school.

Thanks for the help!

you'd already be late for this year if you took the MCAT yesterday.

don't blow your opportunities by being impatient. respect your competition.

also note that you get no credit for being enrolled in a grad program. If you need that MS to strengthen your academic profile, then you need to complete it successfully before you apply.

best of luck to you.
