Hi,
my cousin was accepted to medical school after finishing her prereqs and scoring well on the MCAT although her graduation was a year away (i.e. she was a entering junior when she applied). She ended up deferring her first year of medical school for one year so she could finish her BS at Northwestern by taking a lot of non-stressful pass/fail classes.

I think her stats were 3.9 and 34 mcat; and tons of ECs.

I was wondering if anyone else has done this or how hard this is to do.

Thanks for any info

It possible, though very rare to be excepted into medical school early. However, it isn't something I would count on, on plan on. Just go to undergrad for four years, and then apply at the beginning of your senior year like everyone else.

There are a handful of programs that are early assurance programs, where you apply at the end of your sophomore year for that school and they decide whether or not to accept you. If they don't accept you, you can apply as normal the following year.
