From what I understand, It's a good option for average students needing a boost -- They won't need to compete for higher MCAT score because they're likely to be interviewed by "linked" medical schools to the program.
However, it's not a so-good option for competitive applicants because they'll be tied-down to the schools and their aid packages won't be so good because schools don't need to woo them.
Is this view correct? Am I missing anything?
