Are the EK "real AAMC" Verbal passages from the AAMC practice CBTs?

So the EK book mentions that its verbal passages contain "real AAMC material" or something to that extent. Are the passages taken from the CBT practice tests you can buy off AAMC or is it from older tests that are no longer sold on the CBT site?

I don't want to do the EK verbal book if its going to mess up me taking the AAMC practice tests by already exposing me to some of the passages.

Also to clarify - Im refering to the Verbal book that comes in the MCAT prep set, I don't have the EK 101 passages book right now.

The passages are just the author's idea of AAMC passages. To my knowledge, and excluding the actual AAMC verbal exams, it is the best verbal practice material you can get your hands on.

Also, don't get too discouraged if your scores are low, some of the answers the author thinks to be the best are not the best or just don't make sense.
