I am thinking about applying to podiatry school but I am not aware of the process. I know I apply through the main site but are there interviews after the application? Are there secondary applications? Thanks.

when is the application available?

apply early, especially to DMU. There was a waitlist last year fairly early in the process.

Are the interviews required before acceptance? Do you need a letter of recommendation from a DPM or would a MD or DO be satisfactory? Thank you.

Interviews are required before acceptance. Most of the schools like to have a letter from a DPM. I had one from a DPM and a MD.

Yes, as far as I know, the interviews are required....

As for the letters of recommendation - the more you have, the better off you are. Several of my interviewers talked to me about things said in my letters of recommendation. I have one from a DPM, one from a Physician, one from my academic advisor, and two from teachers. The more people you have bragging on you, the better. Just my advice...

 I agree w/MurrayBUTLER, the more people you have saying you're the best thing since sliced bread, the better. Also, the interview is so, so important, please wear a suit!!! <---Can't stress this enough. I saw some kid w/khakis and a polo shirt last year  You never know who's interviewing you; it could be a Dean, so remember the first impression rule. Anyway, apply early, make sure to put Temple on the list ;)
