Asking for scholarship money?

So I just recieved an offer letter from a school. They didn't mention anything about scholarship money or anything like that. Does anyone have experience about how to "ask" for money or any success stories? What's the most professional appropriate way to go about this? And what should I definetly NOT do when going about this? Thanks in advance!

Call and ask if there is any scholarship or grants available. Why would they think bad about that qurstion? I'm sure every student asks.

Ask if there are scholarships available. you must tread lightly as you don't want it to seem that you are holding your acceptance hostage. I dont think Scholls would be to fond of you doing that so be careful when asking.
