Hey guys, I had a quick question for those of you who applied to ASDOH. I emailed a counselor who said that my grades and my DAT scores were good, but my hours serving the underserved lacked, and thus I will not be offered an interview. I participated in an abroad program and completed a lot of local volunteer services around my area. Yet, I had a friend who interviewed there last year and she barely had any hours volunteering the underserved and was even accepted. What gives? Did ASDOH change their criteria?

My opinion is that hours and underserved work is just an easy go-to answer for them since that's what they're all about. It's sort of a concrete thing that can't be argued. Much like another school telling you your DAT scores just aren't as competitive as they'd like to see. That's the end of the conversation.
