I'm still trying to decide between my favorite bolo tie or bowtie.

I would not recommend a black suit. Navy or charcoal are the safest attire. I would also recommend a clean white or light blue shirt. There is a general fashion rule that your shirt should never be a lighter color than your tie. So no black shirts with lighter colored ties. No maroon or dark red shirts with lighter color ties unless you want to look like a poorly dressed cheap gangster. And little if any cologne. You don't want to be remembered as the guy with the strong cologne. And of course a clean, not beat up pair of quality shoes. Ultimately it's your interview and skills that will land you a position, but it never hurts to look good.

On a side note, I take a lot of pride in the way I dress and I can tell you that as a general rule, most doctors I know are among the worst dressed professionals. Almost to the point of embarrassment.
