I'm a Canadian PGY-1 in internal medicine at an Ontario medical school. I'm in the process of setting up my schedule for PGY-2, and we have a couple months of elective time. I'm hoping to match to an American CCM or PCCM program and I was wondering when would be the optimal time to take my 2 month elective block. I would like to get a reference letter or two out of the experience and "show my face" to a few of the programs.
